Who controls your data
VertexModeler controls personal data processed for this website and product delivery. Paddle separately acts as an independent controller for payment and transaction data. Contact us at privacy@vertexmodeler.com.
Data we collect
- Account identifiers, name, email, and authentication events supplied through Clerk.
- Order references, license, currency, payment status, and entitlement records supplied through Paddle; we do not receive full card details.
- Download events, release identifiers, approximate country, abuse-prevention identifiers, and technical logs.
- Messages and files you voluntarily submit through contact or community forms.
- Device, browser, request, cookie, and security information needed to operate the site.
Why we use it
We process data to perform our contract, provide licensed downloads, maintain accounts, answer requests, prevent fraud, comply with tax and legal obligations, and improve service reliability. Where consent is required for optional analytics or marketing, we will request it separately.
Service providers
- Clerk provides authentication.
- Paddle is the authorized reseller and Merchant of Record for paid orders.
- Cloudflare provides DNS, security, and R2 object storage.
- Vercel hosts the application and operational logs.
- Neon stores product, order, and entitlement records.
- Upstash may provide abuse-prevention rate limiting when configured.
International transfers and retention
These providers may process data outside your country. We rely on their contractual and legal transfer safeguards where required. We retain account and entitlement data while your account or license is active, transaction records as required by law, security logs for a limited operational period, and support correspondence only as long as reasonably necessary.
Cookies and security
Essential cookies maintain sign-in, language, security, and download sessions. We do not use optional advertising cookies by default. We use access controls, signed URLs, encryption in transit, and provider security controls, but no online system can guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection, and may complain to a supervisory authority. Some transaction and fraud records cannot be deleted immediately where retention is legally required. Contact privacy@vertexmodeler.com to make a request.
Children and changes
The service is not directed to children under 13 or the higher minimum age required locally. We may update this policy when services or laws change and will post the effective date here.
